We spent Christmas this year at my grandparents ranch in New Mexico (this was where David and I got married). It was absolutely beautiful! It snowed almost every day and by the time we left there was about 3 feet of snow on the ground. We are so thankful that we arrived there and home safely especially after I ran off the road about a mile from their house on the way up there. Thank goodness I was only going about 25. I was just trying to stay on my side of the road and I ended up going into the ditch and getting stuck. A UPS man and Damian (who works for my grandparents) were nice enough to come along and pull me out! We were all safe and didn't have to wait long.
We had a wonderful Christmas. Ethan got lots of presents and had a ball running around the house. We are so thankful that we got to spend time with our family and be together during this special time. David didn't get to fly in until Christmas Eve but we're thankful he had Friday off. This is my favorite time of the year! Below are some highlights of our Holiday.
The view from the back of the house. You can see the Colorado Rockies!
My brother Seth and Ethan had a great time playing. Ethan loves playing with his uncle! Here are some pics of them playing on the couch and with some sleds.
Ethan got the cutest Elmo houseshoes from his grandma (my mom).
Seth and I even got a chance to sled on Tuesday. We sled down the hill in front of their house! It was lots of fun! It was 20 degrees....pretty chilly!
Ethan loved eating a snowball with Grandpa!
Here's a picture that shows how deep the snow was!! Incredible!
Ethan loves Toy Story and he got a slinky dog from my grandparents. He also got a buzz lightyear from us. He thought they were really cool!
Santa brought Ethan a four-wheeler for Christmas! He loves riding it but doesn't know how to steer yet. He just knows how to make it go.
Ethan also got some boots and a belt from my parents. They go great with the wranglers he already had! So cute. He also got a stick horse. He loves "riding" it around the house. Isn't he handsome?!
Ethan even got out once to play in the snow. He was trying to shovel the snow and didn't want to come in.
And finally, here's a look at my tahoe the day before we came home. Brrr!!!!
2008 has been a great year! It really flew by and I know 2009 will too. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year! God Bless!!
