Ethan 20 months old!

Ethan turned 20 months old this May! My how the time flies! He is getting smarter everyday. The things he does simply amaze me! He loves to repeat words such as kitty, stinks, stick, and so much more I can't think of. When we drive around town he points out the school buses, tractors, windmills (his fav) and cows. He is very observant! He loves playing outside in his "pool" and with his sand and water table his Grandpa and Grandma got for him.

Ethan playing with one of the kittens we currently have. We found a very pregnant cat who had her kittens on our back porch. He loves them! They're looking for a home, so if you're interested let me know!


Yesterday was Mothers Day. I had a wonderful day. David brought me flowers and him and the boys got me a mother's ring from James Avery. I love it!


On another note, we got a little bit of a pregnancy update this month. One of my dr's offices called and let me know that this baby probably has what Ethan had (he was born with a low platelet count). She said that most likely I am producing an antibody that is fighting the baby's platelets. This shocked me because the hospital tested both mine and David's blood after Ethan was born and found out that neither one of us carried an antibody. Come to find out....they only tested for one antibody and there are 6 or 7 platelet antibodies.


That being said, I went and had my blood drawn last Thursday and I have been scheduled for an appointment with a high risk doctor in Dallas on Monday, May 18th. We should have my results back by then and we should have some answers about whether or not this baby has NAIT (neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia) and if so, what we can do about it. I am really scared but glad that this time we can be proactive about the NAIT if this baby does have it. Please pray for us!!
