Wow, the time is flying by! I can't believe it's already August! My sweet little boy is going to be 2 in less than a month! It seems like he was just born yesterday! He's talking so much now and seems to learn something new every day...its amazing! Almost all of his second molars have broken through (thank goodness!). I'm hoping he has a full set of teeth when Ellie's born so we're not having to deal with a major change and teething issues! I pray he'll be understanding of his little sister and know that we love him more and more everyday.
I've had 12 IV treatments now and only have three to go! I'm so glad! Sept 9 will be here before we know it!
Nothing new on the horizon except that I've had to start taking insulin at lunch and dinner for my gestational diabetes. I started at 4 units at supper and am now taking 6 units at lunch and 8 units at supper. The shots aren't too terrible, most of the time it feels a lot better than having to prick my finger 4+ times a day! Once Ellisyn is born, this will go away and I won't have to deal with it anymore! Yea! No more steriods, no more IV's! I can't hardly wait! I will also have a second round of steroid shots for her lungs next week. We pray she will have no breathing problems. We did meet with the neonatologist and she will go straight to the NICU after her birth. I'm okay with this as they can be fast about evaluating her platelet count, her breathing and checking for bleeds. I'm praying all is perfect and she's released to our room quickly!
My wonderful friends threw me a baby shower this past weekend. It was so fabulous and much needed. I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. Everything we received was wonderful and will be much used! Thanks so much guys!!
