Ellie and Ethan at The Feast of Thanks
Both Ethan and Ellie got sick Thanksgiving night. Ellie was running a fever and then Ethan had a fever the next morning. We took them both to the clinic and Ellie had an ear infection and Ethan was getting one. They both also had runny noses and coughs. We got antibiotics but even with that Ellie had a 104 degree fever from Saturday until Monday night. It was horrible, she felt so bad. Finally, everyone was good for about 6 days and then it started again. They went to the doctor on Tuesday and Ellie has another ear infection (different ear) and Ethan has a cold. They both have horrible runny noses and coughs. Ethan went to school yesterday but has a fever this morning and his cough is now croupy. Ellie was also wheezing last night. I'm so ready for them to be better. We have big plans this weekend. On Friday we have Ethan's school Christmas party, then Ethan and I are going on the Polar Express that evening. We have a birthday party Saturday and then Christmas with Grandmommie and Grandaddy that night. On Sunday we have Christmas with my parents. I hope they feel better!
Ethan had a Christmas program at his school last Friday. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. They stood on risers and sang Christmas songs. Ethan and all the other kids wore jingle bells on their wrists and shook them while they sang. It was so precious. This was my favorite song. "What did the cows in the manger say, to baby Jesus in the hay? Moo, Moo, Moo, Moo, Baby Jesus we love you!"
The kids are ready for Christmas and I am too. I love this time of year ...minus the sickness :)
