Ellie has had a rough...well several months! Starting in November she started having a fever each month...and each month she had a double ear infection. She had tubes put in on Feb 28 then she was fever free for over a month then she started having fevers again! It was always a month to the day...on a Friday! She had several throat infections and then on the 10th of June she had a fever of 104.3. That was with Tylenol and Motrin every 3 - 4 hours. Over the course of the next week we took her to three different doctors. Her 104 fever lasted for 7 days! I was a nervous wreck thinking this is NOT normal. The third doctor was her ENT and he said her tonsils were horrible looking and they needed to come out. He usually doesn't recommend a tonsilectomey on kids this young but he said she would just continue to be sick if they didn't come out. So, on June 24 Ellie had her tonsils and adenoids taken out. After the surgery the doctor came out and said her tonsils were so rotten they were literally falling apart as he was removing them.
Right after the first pic below was taken she cried and cried for almost two hours straight. It broke my heart. She did pretty well over all, and she would eat and drink for me...but she was pretty miserable for almost two weeks.
